Genetics Computer Facility

The Genetics Computer Facility provides desktop, email, and server support for the HMS Department of Genetics.

The Computer Facility is located in room 0241 in the New Research Building - the entrance is on the second floor bridge between the New Research Building (NRB) and the Harvard Institutes of Medicine (HIM) building.

The Computer Facility is staffed from 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The staff can also be reached by email at

October 23, 2006 New Email Policies on Genetics Department Mail Server:

1024 MB Quotas on email

2 month limit on accounts for former members of the department

Desktop support is provided by Client Services Representatives from HMS IT, two of whom are based in NRB 0241.

The Computer Facility also provides email, file storage and backup, database administration, and web site hosting.
